Relationship Manager - Alternative Data - Cto Office

Bloomberg's CTO Office is the future-looking technical and product arm of Bloomberg L.P. We envision, design, and prototype the next generation infrastructure, hardware, and applications for the Bloomberg Terminal. What's the Role:
As a Relationship Manager at Bloomberg within our Alternative Data organization, you'll work with and to acquire some of the world's largest institutional investors, impacting their most significant investment decisions. You'll build relationships with key decision-makers, showing them the power of Bloomberg's Alternative data as it provides best in class insights into company performance and consumer trends. You'll also collaborate with internal teams such as Core/Enterprise sales, data science, product management, client engagement, and marketing to help develop features that will bring additional value to our clients and drive revenue growth.

Relationship Managers will be responsible for selling our data and platform to the investment community including but not limited to: Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Venture Capital, and Growth and Private Equity investors.

We'll trust you to:

• Interpret clients' needs and position various Alt Data products (including Terminal, aggregated data feeds, granular data feeds, etc.)
• Own and manage Alternative Data client relationships, while being able to interpret clients' needs and position various Alternative products (including Terminal)
• Partner with Account Managers to develop Terminal engagement and sales strategies.
• Develop strong relationships with Core and Enterprise sales to identify opportunities for Alt Data
• Own and drive net sales outcomes within your assigned territory to reach and exceed gross sales targets through the retention of clients, upselling, and execution of new business
• Enable Terminal engagement / sales by positioning Account Managers appropriately

You'll need to have:

• Broad understanding of equity workflows in the Terminal, including how equity analysts and PMs use Alt Data
• An understanding of the market landscape of Alt Data vendors and how to position our products
• 5+ years' experience in selling in or to the financial services and/or technology industry and have a data-driven mindset
• Deep understanding of quant and quantamental workflows (i.e., users/buyers of data feeds) and how Alt Data is used within their investment processes
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Experience applying data to real world examples and conducting demos independently
• In depth understanding of the suite of Alt Data products and associated use cases/workflows in market
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range: 120,000 - 180,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
