SUMMARY: The Regional Manager (RM) is responsible for managing the Area Sales Managers (ASM) and the wholesaler network and all marketplace activities within the geographic area outlined. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of leading teams, wholesaler management, and field sales, including analytical problem-solving ability, and exceptional planning and budgeting skills. You must also possess working knowledge of distribution networks, retail customers, consumer purchasing dynamics, and syndicated data systems and strong interpersonal skills. You must have presentation and negotiation skills, experience leading teams, and a sense of urgency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Senior Leadership on a multitude of business objectives and debriefs
- Clearly communicate goals and objectives to ASMs and wholesalers
- Manage reporting and communicate regular updates to Senior Leadership
- Meet and maintain teams designated Sales goals
- Build and maintain external relationships and partner with when necessary
- Identify and interpret market trends
- Wholesaler relationships with Upper Management
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
- Maintain a high-performing team
- Continually recognize new areas for growth and opportunity
- Train ASMs and give feedback on job requirements and performance
- Responsible for revenue and volume goals for the region
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises employees within the designated sales region.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing a team and leadership execution
- Friendly and honest with an unparalleled level of customer commitment
- Sales experience in a consumer product-selling B2B sales environment
- Excellent presentation and poise
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the C-level
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Regional Manager role with proven success
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a minimal amount of supervision
- A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time and prioritize accordingly
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university preferred
- Exceptional relationship-building skills
