Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is accountable for leading and developing assigned Account Executive(s) within their branch. The RSM has had success in sales and will leverage that knowledge to coach their team to achieve individual and team sales goals.

Success Defined

  • Lead/deliver Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for sales team
  • Develop the knowledge base and professional growth of assigned Account Executives (AEs) and Senior Account Executives (SAEs) through coaching sales talent, assisting with strategy and approach for target markets, sharing knowledge base, and growing industry competence
  • Promote brand at events and trade shows to increase client base
  • Develop and execute on annual sales business plan and create strategies to increase sales with existing customer base
  • Expand network to continually identify a bench of talent to grow team as necessary
  • Lead our sales onboarding process with new team members
  • Collaborate and partner with Operations Manager to achieve results (culture, financial, and KPIs)
  • Coach team members to grow business opportunities in assigned market segment(s)
  • Host/sponsor events that align with our brand and product offerings
  • Share and align on best practices with leaders from other branches to grow and support the business

Outcomes/Measures of Success

  • Partner with Operations to meet sales goals, achieve production goals, and develop a thriving culture
  • Achieve budgeted gross margin goal for the team
  • Achieve budgeted sales goal for the team
  • Leverage sales contributions of Account Executive(s) and Senior Account Executives (SAEs) by positioning them through coaching and feedback to be successful in their roles
  • Build a bench of talent to partner with Talent Acquisition when ready to hire

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular ride-alongs with AEs and SAEs
  • Manage spend for client interactions, travel, trade show associations and events
  • Present budget and team activities with Operations Manager for quarterly check-ins with executive team
  • Conduct bi-weekly Goal Setting and Review (GS&Rs)
  • Update and monitor sales and budget forecast metrics within Salesforce
  • Hold team members accountable to capturing, tracking, and updating customer contacts and opportunities within Salesforce
  • Travel to client and company offices outside of home base city (up to 25%))

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Previous sales experience in a similar industry
  • Knowledge of Salesforce preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
