Lark Hotels is currently searching for an enthusiastic, analytically minded Regional Sales Director. This role is an active, outbound sales role to drive business through our Bluebird Hotels collection. Focusing on SMERF travel, group tours, corporate retreats, and other room-only business while building long-term relationships with some corporate travel relevant to each individual property will be the main goal of this position. The Bluebird collection of properties includes six year-round properties with over 300 rooms, ample common space that can be leveraged for gatherings, and locations near premier ski, lake, and ocean destinations. Additionally, Bluebird represents three seasonal properties located in amazing summer destinations. These 150 additional rooms also include pools on site. Some of the locations include full-service restaurants (three of the nine) while others provide a more limited, select service offering.
Our properties are located in Maine, Vermont, Upstate New York, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Travel to the properties on occasion to learn the team and the product will be necessary to fully embrace the vibe of each property. After an initial orientation, travel will be 30% of the job to meet prospective 3rd parties in person to discuss and close business.
This is a salaried position with significant commission potential. Year 1 salary will be $80,000 annually with the opportunity to earn commission on revenues over $200,000
Compensation:$80,000/ year base + commission
Responsibilities:- Establish relationships and network with key 3rd parties to garner a robust volume of qualified lead referrals for group business
- Perform targeted outbound solicitation of SMERF group business to strategically grow overall property revenue and profit
- Focus on business which fills in the shoulder seasons of the properties or creates a healthy mid-season base of business without displacing the opportunity to drive transient room revenue
- Consistently booking repeat business
- Aggressively pursuing new accounts/business on a weekly basis
- Develop long-term business relationships
- Making on-property and field presentations to prospective clients
- Must be comfortable with consistent prospecting in person, over the phone, and via email
- Salesforce or other CRM Software
- Comfortable giving presentations
- Experience preferably selling New England destinations
- Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
- At least 6 years experience in sales
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
