The Regional Market Leader Western States is responsible to identify and direct the business development efforts for a region for BRPH Architects and Engineers, Inc; to identify and pursue new markets and prospective clients; to maintain client contact; to maintain an effective and competitive marketing program; to coordinate the efforts of various capture managers and market segment leaders; to provide positive public relationships through activity in community organizations and professional associations.
- Supervise the process of putting together a proposal.
- Conduct research of new markets and team partners.
- Identify prospective markets and clients; contact prospective client executives and determine their needs.
- Seek new markets and clients and provide positive public relationships through membership and active involvement in community organizations and professional associations for the region.
- Determine new markets to pursue in the region that are aligned with the Company’s strategic plan.
- Develop and execute a marketing program with short- and long-range goals.
- Create and maintain computerized client and contact databases.
- Coordinate reports and other documentation for ease of retrieval.
- Direct the marketing staff in the production of marketing reports, proposals, and informational brochures for the region.
- Conduct regularly scheduled weekly marketing meetings in conjunction with the project status meeting. Provide weekly reports regarding prospective clients and marketing assignments.
- Contribute to the development of the Company’s strategic plan for the region.
- Function as the communications link for all new business activity.
- Federal, state and local regulations and policies for the advertisement and selection processes for Architectural and Engineering Services contracts and Construction Services contracts.
- Modern office procedures, methods, computer equipment, software systems, website design, electronic communications and social networking platforms.
- Operational characteristics, services and activities of a professional services office.
- Currently acceptable procedures and practices of marketing as related to the architectural, engineering, and construction professionals.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Interact with clients and other professionals appropriately in both professional and social settings.
- Work within a flexible schedule, which will include early morning, late evening, and weekend meetings and social engagements for the purpose of remaining active in organizations and associations and meeting with clients.
- Present a professional appearance in both person and products.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Manage and administer a comprehensive business development program for a region of the country.
- Participate confidently at the executive level.
- Travel out of area and out of state to attend meetings, make presentations, and otherwise represent the company in a professional capacity.
- Organize and conduct both professional meetings and social activities for the purpose of discussing and/or presenting company services and products.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree, in marketing or business administration, engineering or architecture from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum of ten years’ experience.
- Lead site superintendents and ensure all aspects of the of the project are on schedule.
- Develop or implement quality control programs.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
- Establish a strong safety culture at the construction job site. Monitor contractors, subcontractors and employees for adherence to safety regulations, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with construction documents, building and safety codes, or other regulations.
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
- Investigate damage, safety incidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.
- Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
- Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems.
- Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 7 years of relevant and progressive experience related to the duties listed above.
