About the role


We are looking for a motivated and collaborative Manager, Recruiting to join our dynamic, high-growth company. Reporting to the VP, HR, this position can be either an Oakland, CA or New York based role.


The Manager, Recruiting will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment across any part of the e.l.f. Beauty business including sourcing, identifying, interviewing, and hiring talent. Utilizing LinkedIn as the primary sourcing tool, the Recruiting Manager will manage between seven and twenty jobs at a time for all major functions within the e.l.f. Beauty business like Marketing, Sales, Operations and Finance & Accounting and will lead the offer process to close roles as quickly as possible. As the (typically) first person any candidate will engage with at e.l.f. Beauty, the Recruiting Manager will be responsible for communicating both position requirements and company culture to candidates to give candidates as realistic a perspective of working at e.l.f. as possible.


The ideal candidate is someone who embraces e.l.f.’s dynamic culture of executing with quality and speed to drive results. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience with full-lifecycle recruiting in-house at a high-growth company in a competitive market, specifically experience recruiting for positions across all parts of the business. You need to bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, specifically in articulating position requirements and company culture to candidates and in managing hiring manager’s expectations and their role in recruiting. Last, you will need to bring a demonstrated ability to negotiate with and hire candidates, experience using LinkedIn to source and recruit candidates along with exceptional organizational skills. And a passion for beauty is an added plus!


e.l.f. Beauty has a hybrid model with three days in office and two days working remote per week.


Detailed Responsibilities and Requirements


Responsibilities:


  • Identify talent pools and build and nurture relationships with candidates for future roles
  • Recruit with inclusion, diversity and equity in mind and coach and support others to do the same
  • Lead the offer process by understanding compensation expectations of candidates, effectively communicating the e.l.f. Beauty compensation philosophy, working with hiring managers on the appropriate within-budget offer and finally approval from the Executive Team
  • Conduct screening/first round interviews for all full-time roles in the organization
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies and hiring processes in partnership teams such as Marketing, Sales, Operations and Finance & Accounting
  • As needed, work with external recruiting agencies/firms to facilitate recruiting efforts for either highly technical or difficult to fill roles
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, identifying, evaluating, hiring) across a variety of roles to bring top-tier talent to the e.l.f. Beauty team
  • Manage hiring team expectations and find ways for them to be an active participant in recruiting activities


Requirements:


  • Experience using LinkedIn to recruit candidates
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with an eye for the details and a commitment to accurate, timely and effective execution of recruiting activities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and work under pressure as well as work with confidential and/or sensitive material
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, specifically in articulating position requirements and company culture to candidates
  • Experience working with hiring managers and executive leaders to understand open role requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience with full-lifecycle recruiting in-house at a high-growth company in a competitive market, specifically experience recruiting for positions across all parts of the business
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with and hire candidates in a competitive market
