Recruiting Specialist (Field):

Reporting to the Sr. Manager Talent Acquisition, the Recruiting Specialist will be an integral part of CAVA’s talent strategy supporting existing restaurants and new restaurant openings. The Recruiting Specialist will collaborate with restaurant leaders to build creative and localized staffing strategies to attract and hire key talent, while supporting internal Talent Acquisition team to provide strategic sourcing support to restaurants nationwide.

What You’ll Do:

The Recruiting Specialist will be a well-rounded and cross-functional team player supporting many different facets of CAVA’s talent strategy.

Sourcing Support for Management Hiring (30%)

  • Partner with full lifecycle recruiters to source talent for management vacancies and upcoming needs.


  • Utilize external sourcing methods such as Indeed, LinkedIn, social media, and other creative techniques to source passive and active top-tier talent.
  • Strategize with Recruiters to conduct first round management phone screens as needed by aligning candidates’ skills, goals, and interests to CAVA’s mission to bring heart, healthy, and humanity to food.

New Restaurant Opening (NRO) Hiring Coordination (30%)


  • Attend and lead project meetings to serve as liaison between Operations, NRO teams, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Track hourly hiring progress for NRO hiring (Hourly Managers + Team Members).


  • Escalate needs when approaching NRO hiring deadlines.

Strategic Hourly Staffing Support for Mature Restaurants (25%)

  • Point of contact to assist in strategic support for restaurant staffing as needed.


  • Assess root cause of staffing deficits in restaurants and provide recommendations based on learnings and areas of opportunity.

Provide Administrative Support to Talent Acquisition Team (15%)

  • Work cross-functionally with various departments to ensure foundational success of Talent Acquisition operations. Respond to and/or route Recruiting inbox emails.
  • Create + post hourly job requisitions.


  • Audit and update job posting templates.
  • Partner with Compliance Specialist/legal team to maintain compliance with legal requirements for job postings.

  • Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly

  • Actively contribute to your department in order to complete tasks and meet company goals

The Qualifications:


  • Experience supporting high volume staffing needs in a hospitality or retail setting.
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a high level of professionalism.
  • Intrinsically motivated + has a growth-mindset with a high level of self-accountability and urgency.
  • Experience utilizing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • 2+ years of Talent Acquisition experience (preferably as a coordinator, sourcer, or specialist).



Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
