Quality Control Technician Jobs

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the receipt of samples as they are logged into Quality Control.
Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples according to established SOP's
Retrieval and use of valid Quality Control retains as references.
Conduct daily Fragrance sensory evaluation sessions per established SOP's
Participate in, and lead daily Flavor sensory evaluation panels per established SOP's. Provide Sensory Support in both preparation and evaluation of ingredients and finished products.
Prioritize / separate samples and organize their testing per established SOP's.
Prepare micro samples for shipment per established SOP's for 3rd party testing. Files all retains at conclusion of sample testing cycle

Strong interpersonal skills in order to liaison with Creative staff, and R&D on production related issues. Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree required preferably within the following disciplines (Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Food Science, Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry) Experience with GC, GCMS is preferred, with Flavors and/or Fragrance experience. Technically proficient in the following standard chemical procedures and physical measurements (wet chemistry): GC, GCMS, FTIR, HPLC,NMR, pH, acid value, peroxide value, oil content, water content, specific gravity, refractive index, Tg, optical rotation, salt content, solid content, color, ester value and other standard tests. Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and standard MS office software. LIMS and/or SAP experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to be on your feet for 50-70% of the day; Able to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs; Requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
