As part of Integra Connect Information Governance organization the goal of the Manager of Data Quality and Curation Controls is to ensure that Integra Connect’s dataset is populated with deep and robust clinical data to support Integra’s value-based care and other analytic solutions and services. Success in this regard requires a world-class data curation and control process which entails elements of technology, operational excellence, training, and data quality assurance. This role will serve as Integra’s focal point with the appropriate IntegraCloud, global and other business unit teams on all aspects of delivering data quality controls management via a robust data curation controls process to enhance data quality and data productization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct presentation/training of relevant stakeholders on QC processes and standards.
- Develop budget forecasts and manage budgets and expenses within approved limits.
- Data curation control staff (global) team management; capacity planning; profile specifications.
- Lead and manage the Integra Connect l curation QC team to ensure exceptional overall quality assurance of manually curated data. Responsible for the management and development of one or more direct reports.
- Drive team efficiency and transparency into financial costs associated with curation.
- Develop QC standards in accordance with industry best practices and compliance /regulation requirements.
- Lead data cuts certification process design/ implementation/oversee.
- Partner with ECRF Product Manager, ClinOps, DataOps and Platform/PQ leadership to provide input on data features, ECRF functionality, and roadmap/life-cycle elements on curated data within the Platform.
- Define requirements for a QC monitoring dashboard.
- Establish a regular data quality reporting cadence to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze metadata/data lineage for CDEs. Define control points and process for monitoring CDEs.
- Delivery of procedures for high-quality data output within agreed-upon timelines.
- Lead the efforts to identify CDE ownership and document business rules for each source ingestion site along the data pipeline.
- Lead and develop financial and operational KPI’s and metrics that accurately depict the health of the curation business. Development of dashboards and other tools to help to monitor and communicate team performance to C-level executives.
- Support the development/refinement of definitions of patient medical record data fill tiers to inform Integra Life Science Services pricing to customers for technology and data solutions.
- Establish communication and alert processes to relay QC issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Developing curation control -related policies & SOPs.
- Lead and manage the operational execution of the data curation control process into the platform. This encompasses partnering with the global curation team, establishing as needed U.S.-based staff, structure, and operationalization model in a comprehensive way.
- Lead design and development of quality control checks based on business rules and data profiling information for each source ingestion site.
Qualifications:
- Oncology expertise from a scientific, medical, or business background preferred.
- 4+ Data Management /DQ tools experience – Informatica, IBM, Quest DQ Lab preferred, Metadata Glossary Tools – Erwin DI, Collibra or similar.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to assume sole and independent responsibility for various projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- 6+ Information Governance, Data Management, DQ Experience.
- Healthcare and clinical data experience (EHR data, medical claims, and payor claims).
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of Degree.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills. Must then be able to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts effectively.
- 6+ years of experience leading a curation QC or Data Quality team with experience in the project management discipline.
- Experience managing direct reports and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated competency working with cross-functional stakeholders (both internal and external) in discussing advanced technologies and technical requirements and translating them into user requirements.
