Quality Control Manager Jobs

The Quality Manager will be expected to review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to calibration, environmental, and material analysis systems. Ensure that tests and controls are adequate to verify finished product quality, and ensure compliance with company standards and applicable government regulations. The quality manager will also be expected to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity, referring to policies and practices for guidance.

This position serves to ensure a carefully controlled analytical environment in order to assure consistent generation of accurate data that meets or exceeds the quality objectives of our customers. The quality program encompasses all laboratory operations and maintains specific procedures and guidelines in effort to control all activities that influence data quality and achieve Data Quality Objectives (DQOs).

Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify.

Frequent internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects, teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and monitor KPIs to ensure QMS is meeting the intended goals
• Monitor end of life cycle for procedures and technical documentation stored in NASA repository.
• Provide KPIs for the QMS
• Manage the internal audit program
• Support and initiates quality program to support laboratory work efforts, aligning company quality standards with NASA, EPA, DOD, and other government guidelines
• Assist with the development of quality control manuals and procedures, and participate in the development of new methods, procedures, and systems
• Voice of the customer
• Provides final acceptance and inspection activities on services provided by the laboratories
• Help establish control charts (pareto) and evaluate data quality for laboratory processes
• Review all Standard Operating Procedures and or technical documentation, and track them through the signature loop
• Coordinate analyses and compile data packages for all performance evaluation (PE) samples received by the laboratory. Provide corrective action statements to agencies or clients in regard to PE samples
• Maintain records of Performance evaluation samples (PETs), audits, state certification programs
• Organize all laboratory audits and respond to any deficiencies
• Ensure Routine Use of Quality Control (QC) Check Samples
• Investigate problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Recommend corrective actions, dispositions and modifications
• Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint)
• Maintain the QMS
• Monitor laboratory activities to verify conformance with established laboratory SOPs
• Gain and maintain ISO 9001/AS9100 lead auditor certification.

Required Education and Experience:

• 5 years direct professional experience
• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience/combined education

Preferred Education and Experience

• 1 year direct professional experience
• Master’s degree
