Work Location:- New York City, NY
Duration:- 6 month C2H

Position: QA ETL Analyst
Number of positions: 1
There may be a 6 month right to hire option!
Location: Local only to NYC Metro area. Hybrid work: M/F from home, Tue/Wed/Thursday in NYC midtown office. Not optional!
Duration: 6+ month
Work status: GC or USC only
Interviews: First interview Zoom, second interview in NYC Office. No exceptions!
Years' experience: 5+
Note: Must be a hands on QA ETL Tester. Also, must do documentation, SQL Queries, file handling or validation and more!
This is a manual tester, not an automated tester.
The QA with ETL Consultant will be responsible for performing functional and regression testing

• Very well-versed in scrum methodology
• Strong communication skills
• QA methodology (understanding the diff in functional/regression/integration testing
• Hands-on experience in writing test cases, test scenarios and documentation
• Experience with Unix a plus
• SQL queries

Responsibilities

• Participate in Scrum meetings
• Perform functional, regression, system end to end testing
• Report issues in Jira and provide appropriate issue escalation
• Develop Test Plan and Test Strategy documents
• Develop test cases for functional testing
• Generate test execution reports on a daily basis during the testing phase

Required Skills

• 5+ years' experience with testing methodology and techniques
• 5+ years in SQL
• 3+ years' experience hands on testing in ETL
• Solid understanding of Scrum framework (sprints, stories, velocity)
• Understanding of good testing principles including negative testing.

Strong understanding of MySQL, Oracle SQL, or any other relational database
Strong analysis and follow up skills is a MUST

• Ability to sit in user meetings

Experience with Jira/Confluence for bug tracking and documentation

• Experience with TestRail, or any other test management tool

Proven ability to formulate and execute test plans and test cases
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proven ability to communicate openly and effectively.

A self-starter who can deliver well as part of a team

• Ability to efficiently manage time

EDUCATON And/or EXPERIENCE

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years' QA experience performing functional and regression testing
• A minimum of 5 years' experience with relational databases (SQL queries, Oracle, MS SQL, or MySQL).
