Python/Sql Data Analyst - Remote | Wfh

We are seeking a proficient Data Analyst with expertise in Python and SQL, who is enthusiastic about collaborating with data scientists and BI specialists to create innovative analytical solutions for our clients.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside a team of accomplished technical consultants, project managers, and sales professionals. Our Bardess consultants are known for their self-motivation, results-driven mindset, and adeptness in finding diplomatic solutions to challenges.
Responsibilities
Utilize Python and SQL for data analytics to fulfill client-specific business needs.
Collaborate closely with Bardess data scientists to conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and data transformations using Python and SQL.
Design and implement processes to extract, transform, and store data from diverse sources such as SQL databases, S3 buckets, APIs, and BI tools.
Support BI specialists by creating backend data solutions.
Engage with clients to understand their requirements, strategize delivery plans, and present findings effectively.
Experience
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience as a data analyst.
Education
Bachelor's degree.
Required Skills
Profound proficiency in SQL.
Extensive experience in Python for data manipulation (pandas), data visualization (matplotlib), and establishing data connections (APIs, SQL connectors, etc.).
Exceptional communication skills.
Ability to work independently in identifying client needs and collaboratively in addressing them.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with BI tools, particularly Qlik.
Exposure to big data platforms, data warehousing, and cloud technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, and Cloudera.
Interest in data science and machine learning (willingness to learn is a significant advantage).
Experience in consulting or a major industry.
Background in client/stakeholder communication and project management.
Familiarity with shell/command-line tools.
Location and Travel:
This position offers remote work options. Depending on non-pandemic conditions, occasional client travel may be required, primarily within the NY/NJ/PA area.
