A little bit about us!

Bookelicious inspires kids to discover the joy of reading by pairing them with books they

LOVE! Our site makes recommended books easily accessible by offering them for sale

as well as linking to local libraries. We promote literacy by encouraging children to feed

their read.

Our company has also developed special tools for teachers, students and

parents/caregivers that encourage deep engagement with the site and track reading

progress, including fun, book-themed games and activities. This level of home-school

integration has become even more vital as schools incorporate distance learning into

their programs. We also offer special collections that celebrate diversity and promote

social-emotional learning, to meet the needs of educators and families.

A little bit about the job!

Our relationship with Columbus City Schools is one we hold near and dear to our hearts.

We have entered into our second year working with the district and are super excited

to engage with their students and encourage the love of literacy. We need self-motivated,

friendly individuals with a passion for children and children’s literature.

You will be expected to:

● Work with school administrators and Librarian Instructional Assistantsto coordinate

on-site school visits.

● Engage with students (grades K-1) helping them to explore new and exciting books.

● Support students (grades K-1) with their understanding and creation of the bookmoji.

● Assist students (grades K-1) with their Voice and Choice book selections.

● Maintain relationships and provide consistent support to the librarian assistants for your

assigned schools in the Columbus City Schools District.

● Travel throughout the Columbus City School District on a daily basisto provide on-site

support.

● Ideal candidates must have their own transportation to and from all on-site school visits.

● Be available for virtual training sessions in the month of August.

● Have access to reliable internet and a personal laptop computer.

This position will be a part-time contract position. The contract will total 20 weeks

splitting the weeksbetween the fall and the spring (10 fall/10 spring). The ideal candidate

will anticipate working no more than 10-15 hours per week at a rate of $18.00 per hour.
