Project Manager - Solar Project Development

Role: Project Manager - Transactions and Acquisitions

Location: LA (Hybrid work pattern)

Salary: $105,000 - $120,000

Background:

Our client is a well-established and expanding company that specializes in acquiring, developing, constructing, and managing distributed solar assets throughout the United States. They are seeking a Project manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project valuation, managing risk, and making investment decisions throughout the solar development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritizing, coordinating, reviewing, and tracking key development deliverables with internal teams and external legal, zoning, environmental, interconnection, and engineering consultants
• Overseeing multiple transactions at varying stages simultaneously
• Leading due diligence and/or development activities with both partners and internal teams, including site acquisition, real estate and title, interconnection, engineering, survey, environmental, offtake, and policy
• Providing transaction support for project financing and asset acquisitions
• Managing and reporting project data, including pricing model, budget, schedule, and deliverables
• Leading the acquisition of solar projects
• Creating presentations summarizing all research involved in each project for hand-off to the construction team
• Gathering market intelligence and expanding relationships with local government, utility, and other stakeholder groups to understand the project development and permitting processes

Qualifications and Skills required for this role are:

• Experience with project acquisitions preferred
• Organized, diligent, and able to manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis
• 1-3 years' experience required in renewable energy development or acquisitions, solar experience a plus
• Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills, and demonstrated skill working with unstructured datasets
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Project management, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• A four-year Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
• Self-motivation with a high level of initiative and accountability
• Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong work ethic and ability to self-start in a fast-paced environment
