Summary

The Project Manager, Production is responsible for overseeing the NCEDTL production processes. This position needs requires a passion for bringing the team’s work to life across print, websites, and virtual and live trainings to benefit the Head Start workforce. This role requires a collaborative, detail-oriented, and flexible outlook to work across the Center to track materials, courses, and training through the production phase to completion and delivery on timeline. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all Center materials are forecasted and posted on the ECLKC within timeline and in accordance with federal guidance. The Project Manager, Production will also ensure production of timely delivery of electronic, print, and training materials for regional and national events working across the consortia.

Essential Responsibilities

• As necessary, and in consultation with Sr. Meetings Manager; Sr. Manager TTA Delivery; and Project Manager, Center Operations, arranges for updating of depleted inventory on the DTL Superstore and for training needs
• Leads ECLKC team; participates in regular meetings with ECLKC contractor; facilitates ongoing communication with contractor point of contact; monitors submission timeline, tracks and communicates status of resource development
• Works directly with the Office of Head Start and DTL logistics team to produce and track materials for the biannual PD meetings
• Oversees the delivery and pipeline of the media & design team’s workflow to ensure adequate time and delivery of projects
• Other duties as assigned
• Regularly reviews and updates assigned project deliverables and timelines in the project management system to assess status of completion
• Executes production services and tracking for all NCECDTL resources and trainings including, but not limited to: editing, design, and delivery
• Ensures regular communication and status updates of assigned project deliverables to Director, Project Management & Technology Delivery
• Works with design team to maintain the NCECDTL archives
• Establishes systems with partners, as needed, to achieve project production schedules are complete
• Collaborates with Principal Partner to ensure successful tracking
• Establishes ongoing relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of DTL materials for training
• Ensures 508 compliance for resources; manages work with 508 vendors
• Maintains NCECDTL’s branding guidelines
• Contributes to the overall work of the NCDTL by participating in regular staff meetings
• Maintains and updates taxonomy and classification system for NCECDTL materials on the ECLKC
• Support OHS priority projects with National Center Director

Essential Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with web production processes and 508 compliance
• Ability to effectively summarize and quickly present status information to senior center staff
• Proficient in MS Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint; and web-based meeting services such as Adobe Connect
• Must be highly organized with exceptional project management skills
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to maintain positive work relationships
• Must have creative ability to work within a design team environment
• Three to five years of production management experience with an emphasis on web production
• Must have previous experience with project management software

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or a related field.

Compensation & Benefits

This position's salary is estimated to be mid $70,000s to low $100,000s depending on experience, geo-location, budget, and other comparable and similarly scoped internal positions. Physical Requirements

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity and sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also, they may need to remain seated for extended periods, can perform repetitive motions, and reach for objects. An employee is frequently required to hold a writing instrument, communicate verbally, and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information. They may be required to grasp objects, push, and pull objects, bend, stand, walk, squat, or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data preparation or analysis, and expansive reading. May need to lift up to 30 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing this job. Depending on work location, the incumbent will typically work indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent, and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions conducive to a home environment. When travel is expected, the incumbent will be exposed to outside environmental conditions during those times.
