Job Description
Position Summary


Metcon is a commercial general contractor that specializes in construction management, negotiated, design-build and select hard-bid projects. The primary duty of the Director / Project Executive in the Casino & Entertainment Division is to grow the company by effectively managing production, operations, achieving sales and profitability objectives for new projects and clientele. Promote Metcon to owners, developers, planners, architects, engineers, and any appropriate sales lead by increasing brand awareness, prospecting, engaging new clients and participating in trade shows, participating in professional and/or industry organizations. This position must have the ability to lead both large single projects and/or complex programs of large volume of work. Monitor, recruit, direct, and grow the team. Must lead, teach, train, and manage project teams. Ability to execute project objectives resulting in 'on time' and within budget. Responsible for ensuring project goals, objectives and initiatives are met in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Metcon. Greater than 15 yrs. Entertainment and casino industry experience.


Direct Supervisor: - Sr. Vice President



  • Follow up on project leads identified by other Metcon staff members.
  • Attend pre-bid conferences, is primarily point of contact to outside contacts, communicates all relevant information to Estimating staff.
  • Develop, prepare, coordinate, and execute presentations and proposals, with Estimating staff participation, to existing or new clients.
  • Regularly updates marketing collateral and is primarily responsible for distribution of marketing collateral.
  • Tracks projects, with consistent contact to project team members, from concept through contract award.
  • Build and manage long term relationships and partnerships with key and target clients, architectural and engineering to generate leads (both Private and Public projects).
  • Demonstrate and apply complete understanding of all aspects of Construction business necessary to build confidence in perspective clientele.
  • Promote Metcon Construction to owners, developers, planners, architects, engineers, and any appropriate sales lead by increasing brand awareness, prospecting and engaging new clients, coordinating public relations efforts, attending and participating in trade shows, participating in professional and/or industry organizations.
  • Identify profitable marketplace opportunities.
  • Work 'hand-in-hand' with the Preconstruction Team supporting any an all project within the Entertainment Division.
  • Monitor project announcements daily to generate leads.
  • Works with Estimating staff throughout Design Assist process to ensure Clients goals are achieved and predevelopment schedule is maintained.
  • Understanding of financing options available to development and be able to communicate individual program requirements to clients, architects, and Metcon staff.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Fifteen + years of construction and leadership experience.
  • Construction Management degree preferred or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.


Principle Project Management / Client Relationship Duties


  • Engage existing clients on future opportunities..
  • Work with Senior Project Management staff and Clients to ensure that the Clients expectations are regularly being met and monitor Owner satisfaction.


Project Start-up


  • Scopes to be signed off by Estimator, Project Manager, and Superintendent.
  • Buyout and Negotiations in coordination with Preconstruction and Project Management.
  • Project Layout and Logistics.
  • Abstract of contract- Points conveyed to Project team.
  • Establish Dashboard and set expectations.
  • Risk Mitigation Plan.
  • Identify the Project Team/s, build strategy.
  • Manage Long Lead Items.
