About Us
The LLVM Foundation is on a mission to support the LLVM Project and ensure the long-term health, diversity, and growth of the project and the field of compilers and tools. To achieve these goals, we have established four impactful programs: Educational Outreach, Grants & Scholarships, and Diversity & Inclusion (Community.o). Additionally, we proudly host one of the largest compiler conferences biannually in the United States (Bay Area) and Europe.
We are currently seeking a Program Director to join our dynamic team. This role involves marketing, managing, and nurturing the growth of our valuable programs. Please note that the position requires occasional travel to our biannual LLVM Developers' Meetings. This is a full-time remote position, and you must be located in the United States. You will collaborate closely with the CEO of the LLVM Foundation and play a significant role in expanding our team as our organization continues to flourish.
Key Responsibilities
Grants & Scholarship Program
Marketing: Develop and execute strategies to promote the program and attract potential applicants.
Management: Oversee the selection committee, manage agreements, and ensure timely payments.
Evolution and Growth: Identify opportunities for program improvement and expansion.
Educational Outreach Program (US and Euro LLVM Developers' Meeting)
Volunteer Recruitment: Recruit and oversee volunteers for program activities.
Speaker Management: Coordinate and support speakers throughout the event cycle.
Pre-Event Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Volunteer Management: Coordinate volunteer efforts during the event.
Event Support: Manage marketing materials and provide logistical support.
Conference Asset Management: Ensure the efficient utilization of conference resources.
Post-Event Communication: Foster post-event engagement and feedback.
Fundraising
Corporate Sponsorship: Collaborate with partners for program funding.
Public Donations: Manage and nurture public contributions.
Assist with Other Programs, New Initiatives, and Program Operations
Requirements
Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Discord, Discourse, Zoom, Google Suite).
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong project management capabilities.
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
2 to 4 years of experience managing nonprofit or grant programs.
Some event organization experience.
Prior experience working with volunteers.
Familiarity with open source communities.

The starting salary for this role falls within the range of $60,000 to $70,000 USD annually, with the actual salary determined based on skills, experience, and other job-related factors. Our comprehensive rewards package includes:
