Zinc Collective’s mission is to help deliver persistent Democratic majorities. We focus on running and funding programs, primarily at the federal level (House, Senate, Presidential) that retain and recruit talent and/or address infrastructure gaps across Democratic politics. Our three core programs are DigiDems, which embeds technology staff on competitive campaigns to help them win, Blue Leadership Collaborative, which creates the diverse campaign talent pipeline necessary to building Democratic majorities, and Zinc Labs, which serves as an incubator for the next generation of democratic tech tools and solutions.
Launched in 2018, Zinc Collective is a fast paced, collaborative organization that is more akin to a startup. The team is data driven, solution oriented, passionate about the mission, and obsessed with delivering both high quality programs and continuous improvement.
In 2023 and beyond, Zinc Collective will continue to invest in talent and infrastructure gaps, aimed at ensuring that the Democratic ecosystem has what it needs to win.
POSITION SUMMARY
Blue Leadership Collaborative is currently seeking a Program Coordinator to join our diverse and high performing team. The Program Coordinator is responsible for program support, planning and coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a self starter and problem solver, passionate about Democratic politics, and eager to use their skill set to effect change in the Democratic space. Limited travel is required for this position.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support communications with BLC Cohort Members, their support team, and program alumni
- Work with the Program Manager and BLC leadership to support consistent communication with the BLC cohort
- Act as an additional point of contact for cohort members
- Support engagement of BLC alumni community and alumni board
- Virtual and in-person event planning
- Support planning of virtual and in-person events and trainings for the BLC cohort and alumni
- Manage agenda and timing of events
- Assist with event logistics during virtual and in-person events.
- Support the training of the BLC cohort in various aspects including the preparation of training materials and cohort-facing documents
- General organization and contribution to team organization
- Project management, including tracking “to do” items and holding people accountable
- Travel as needed to support BLC events and/or attend conferences and events
- Additional duties as assigned
- Project management, including tracking “to do” items and holding people accountable
- Coordinate video conference calls in Google Hangouts and Zoom
- Assist with event logistics during virtual and in-person events.
- Maintain internal tracking documents and systems during the BLC cohort application and interview process
- Act as an additional point of contact for cohort members

- Support program planning, coordination, and marketing of BLC program

- Help with the creation and completion of BLC external updates in the form of newsletters and social media
- Draft internal plans for programs and initiatives supporting the current BLC cohort and alumni
- Assist with the ordering and distribution of BLC merchandise
- Maintain internal tracking documents and systems during the BLC cohort application and interview process
- Additional duties as assigned

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Ability to work within a diverse multi-disciplinary team
- A proven record of being detail-oriented, efficient, and tech savvy
- Proficient in Google Suite
- A reputation as a self-starter excited about tackling a range of priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with remote teams
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- A problem-solver who is ready to be an active participant in supporting our program

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The annual salary for this position is between $65,000and $70,000 and is commensurate with experience.
Blue Leadership Collaborative is a project of Zinc Collective LLC. As such, all project employees are employed and receive benefits from Zinc Collective LLC. Zinc Collective provides the option of enrolling in medical, dental, and vision coverage plans for both the primary employee and applicable dependents. In addition, we provide a generous FTO policy, Tech Stipend and the ability to contribute to a 401k, with a match, after 6 months of employment.
