Program Coordinator (#021873) Kershaw Correctional Institution, Kershaw (Lancaster) Level 2

Job Responsibilities

• Audits current needs' assessments and program schedules to ensure returning citizens are receiving appropriate services.
• Prepares written and oral reports.
• Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator II, will be responsible for implementation and oversight of activities to assist offenders transitioning back into the community.
• Ensures strong alliances in the community with agencies and organizations dedicated to employment readiness and second chance initiatives.
• This is a full- time temporary position.
• Provides assistance to other program coordinators at institutions designated as reentry sites.
• Attends legislative, public, and advocacy group hearings.

Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
SCDC Minimum Requirements

• Relevant program experience.
• A high school diploma.

(This is a temporary position paid at an established hourly rate for hours worked. Temporary positions do not include leave, benefits, or grievance rights.)
