We’re seeking an experienced video production and live event professional to lead our Production Services team. Production Services is part of the Conference & Production Services team that manages and operates Campus Conference Center spaces (theaters, conference rooms, and outdoor event spaces) and provides services (video production, event management, and conference room coordination) for internal-facing meetings and events that help Apple employees stay connected. We achieve this through in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences.

Key Qualifications

8+ years of demonstrated ability in a leadership role in a related field (e.g., TV, film, agency, or corporate). You’re an inclusive leader who enjoys collaboration and mentoring.

8+ years of well-rounded production experience in live production environments. Relying on your depth of experience, you’re comfortable pivoting from team leader to teammate, and can jump in to support as a producer. Ability to support as a director or technical operator (TD, A1, camera operator, or lighting director) is a plus.

You have a great eye and understand the interrelationship between lights, LEDs, and cameras. You’re able to critique productions and mentor the team to continually produce high-production-value content that meets our media savvy customers’ needs.

You have a high degree of business insight, and are skilled in leading department budgets, vendors, and projects.

Project management experience is required to lead technical upgrades, venue renovations, and maintenance projects. You will drive projects to completion by diving into the details and collaborating with the team, cross-functional partners, and integrators to ensure the right equipment and solutions are in place for the needs of the business.

You are an extraordinary influencer who excels at connecting the dots of the organization, strategy, program, project, and event levels. You’re able to persuade and change the thinking of others without damaging relationships.

You have highly refined communication skills: verbal, written, presentation, and listening. You are able to frame issues, summarize information, and connect across all levels.

You’re skilled in preparing reports and decks for presentation to senior management, cross-functional partners, creatives, and customers to facilitate decisions among evolving priorities. Able to ask the right questions and challenge the status quo.

Able to comfortably dive into any area of the department, develop a deep understanding of business needs, identify gaps, recommend solutions, and craft execution plans. You continually solve problems and clear roadblocks for the team.

You are resilient, accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment, and capable of handling a high-volume workload. Description

As the Production Services Manager, you’ll run the Production Services team, comprised of employees and vendors You’ll establish operational objectives, develop processes and initiatives, create team assignments, be a coach and mentor, and manage the team’s performance. You’ll ensure productions are well executed, and meet our customers’ expectations and Apple’s standards of excellence—this requires taking ownership, getting into the details, and seeing around corners.

You’ll ensure production venues and equipment remain operational and are properly maintained. This includes handling maintenance contracts and scheduling routine maintenance of production gear. You’ll manage vendors and the department budget, including tracking and approving invoices. You’ll provide data analysis, reporting, and presentations (Keynotes) to support and identify insights that influence strategies. This includes identifying trends and gaps, framing issues, and providing solutions while using metrics and data visualization. You’ll also lead technology refresh projects, and develop standard operating procedures and training materials.

You’ll establish expectations and timelines to ensure parallel and independent work streams all implement simultaneously, seamlessly, and according to plan. It’s critical to provide consistent, accurate, efficient communication between all parties. You’ll need to navigate through ambiguity and develop strong relationships to become a trusted partner. This role requires wearing multiple hats to drive for results and make things happen in a cost- and operationally-efficient manner.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $168,000 and $261,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
