Procurement Specialist/ Supply Chain Manager/ Purchasing Assistant/ Erp

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Buyer for a Contract/Contract-Hire position with a client located in Clearwater FL.

Pay/Salary Range: $35-$40/hr.

Senior Buyer job responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, and actively seek new suppliers to enhance the organization's supplier base.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in purchasing, contracts, and supply chain management.
• May be required to travel occasionally to attend supplier meetings, conferences, or trade shows.
• Utilize SAP software to manage purchasing and contract-related activities efficiently.
• Utilize CAD drawings and technical knowledge of Automotive and Proto-Type parts to evaluate and assess supplier capabilities and product specifications.
• Be prepared to work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines or address urgent procurement needs.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and expectations.
• Leverage expert PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other technical software, to analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate effectively.
• Manage the purchasing and procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
• Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment in the procurement process.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
• Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong proficiency in PC skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other technical software.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• A minimum of 7+ years of experience in purchasing, contracts, or a related field is necessary, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and drive continuous improvement in purchasing and contract processes.
• Familiarity with SAP software and its functionalities related to purchasing and contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
