POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT


Moss’s Purchasing Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the purchasing department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.


Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities


  • Data entry for incoming inventory/returns into software for tracking
  • Provides administrative and clerical support to the purchasing department.
  • Post invoices to CMIC
  • Reconciliation of invoices versus statements
  • Post all materials movement into the system (Motion)
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Interface with the accounting department
  • Process vendor invoices to match with relevant P.O
  • Accounts payable prep
  • Assist with invoice processing and approvals


Education And Work Experience


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • High attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to deal with some repetitive activity
  • At least two years of clerical experience is preferred
