Pokemon Writer - Us

Dexerto is looking for an experienced games writer with a passion for Pokemon.

You should be a talented writer who is able to source and write compelling news stories and guides that will appeal to Pokemon fans. The ideal candidate will have encylopedic knowledge of all aspects of Pokemon - that means Pokemon GO, main series Pokemon games, the Trading Card Game, and more.

As well as writing content and being on top of the latest trends, you will work with Dexerto's Games Editor and staff writers to plan and execute content around major releases and events.

Some knowledge of SEO is essential while experience of analytics is desirable.

Requirements

• Experience with content management systems
• A snappy and compelling writing style
• Expert knowledge of Pokemon, including GO, all games, the Trading Card Game, and more
• Have a keen attention to detail – can spot grammatical errors and fact check.
• SEO knowledge
• Is confident with social media
• Able to write to short deadlines under pressure
• Able to act independently on writing tasks
• Analytics is desirable
• Own computing equipment that can run Photoshop and be able to use it competently
• Able to work full-time hours (40) without other education or job commitments
