Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a PMO Analyst to join our team supporting an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client.
This position is responsible for supporting an existing PMO team to provide onboarding and offboarding tracking for a growing IRS contract. This position will participate in defining and establishing program plan requirements, provide process improvement, and will coordinate resources internally and externally to ensure that contractual, deliverable and schedule goals are met.
This position is remote in US.
Project Specific Job Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Provide resource and subcontractor coordination (including onboarding, offboarding) in support of project teams and tracking all tasks and equipment
  • Support PMO communication and training initiatives
  • Support the PMO/Integration Management Office (IMO) day-to-day activities
  • Perform analysis, development, and review of program processes and procedures
  • Track project status and service delivery metrics and ensure key milestones and deliverables are met
  • Disseminates information in a timely fashion at the appropriate level of detail for the target audience (team and customer)
  • Ensured risks are identified, addressed, recorded
  • Research, analyze and provide recommendations for resolving issues impacting program execution
  • Facilitate onboarding program overviews
  • Draft, edit, maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure that onboarding resources have equipment, tools, and resources to quickly assimilate into the project team
Project Specific Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to provide leadership in recommending, developing, and communicating approaches for resolving specific issues
  • Ability to think analytically and problem solve
  • Active listening capabilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels in the organization
  • Experience with SharePoint and Power BI Tools, preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required; an additional four (4) years of related work experience may substitute for a degree
  • Proactive attention to detail
  • Ability to create and edit highly visible communications and deliverables
  • At least one (1) year of experience with IRS practices and procedures
  • At least three (3) years of related experience required
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information
  • Ability to work proactively and effectively with clients, and deliver high quality work products in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Ability to manage across multiple tasks with differing priorities
  • Experience using MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working on dynamic teams focused on meeting client needs in a challenging environment
Additional Requirements as per contract/client:
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for at least three (3) years, and Federal Tax compliant
  • Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus).
Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Document complex program and system needs for both technical and non- technical audiences.
  • Perform cost/benefit analyses on potential changes to existing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to define problems and implement solutions.
  • Create, review, and present program documents, including requirement traceability matrices, business and software specifications, process flows, and test cases.
  • Participate in the administration of project and program contract activities, including preparation for internal and external meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge and documentation of operational and system processes.
  • Assist in the analysis of data and the specification of report packages for internal and external audiences.
  • Support the project manager and product owner and stakeholders on project priorities.
  • Works closely with Quality Assurance and Training staff to optimize operational activities.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
