What You'll Do


The position will take the leadership for managing all Health and Wellness Platform Capacity and Network Optimization projects across the KIND, Natures Bakery and Tru Fru Business Units. This position will manage the day to day activities to successfully start up assigned projects. This position will be responsible for developing timelines, tracking budgets, aligning scope, managing cross functional resources, maintaining action registers and dashboards.


What You'll Bring To KIND


  • Build an engaged and effective operational community by fully leveraging resources in Procurement, R&D/Q&FS, and Supply, Finance, Logistics and managing internal stakeholders. Collaborating with other Mars segments on synergies to drive optimal value to the organization.
  • Leverage external capabilities to deliver supply solutions for those innovation projects that cannot be resourced internally and provide market intelligence during scoping phases of the innovation process
  • In collaboration with the Finance and Engineering Teams, this role will be responsible for tracking actual spend vs budgets for each assigned project.
  • Accountable for developing and maintaining Project Schedules, Action Trackers, RAID, meeting notes and other Project Dashboards.
  • Accountable for the day to day activities and execution of all network optimization and capacity projects across KIND, Natures Bakery and Tru Fru Business Units.
  • Accountable for alignment across functions to Identify, Mitigate and Escalate Risks.
  • Accountable for coordinating all documentation and training.


How You'll Do It


  • Collaborate with the Finance team to identify, explain and minimize variances to standards and/or budgets. Forecast future variances and budgets as necessary.
  • Manage change of scope approvals and alignment with key stakeholders on justification, implementation and tracking.
  • Build communication processes that ensure appropriate level of communication of daily activities between all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external project stakeholders to ensure priorities and standards have been reviewed and scope of work is aligned.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing and Logistics Teams to ensure operational priorities and standards have been reviewed and scope of work is aligned.
  • Accountable and Responsible for Project KPI’s: Budget, Schedule, Manufacturing Performance.
  • Collaborate with the Food Safety and Quality Teams to ensure projects are completed to specifications and in compliance with Food Safety Standards.
  • Act as a strong business and operations partner to the Business Units to educate, inform, consult and influence in order to deliver their priorities. Aligns and balances risk.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Business Units and other key stakeholders for network optimization and capacity projects.


You are...


  • Bachelor degree with a focus on engineering, or operations project management
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain process and procedure
  • Knowledge of Quality process and procedure
  • At least 5 years of Engineering or PMO Experience
  • Effective relationship management - internal and external
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing process and procedure
  • 5 – 10 years in Cross Functional Leadership
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement process and procedure
  • Leadership of capital projects > $10M (preferred)
  • 5-10 years practical working experience in engineering or PMO roles


You have...


  • Ability to travel 15 - 40% of the time
  • Leadership of cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement process and procedure
  • Knowledge of Quality process and procedure
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain process and procedure
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing process and procedure
  • Experience in Engineering or other PMO roles
  • 5-10 years’ experience in large CPG Contract Manufacturing (preferred)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English


The salary range for this role is $160,000 - 180,000 per year. Please state your salary expectations in your application. KIND intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the total rewards that KIND provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
