Our location in the Mercer/Ocean/Atlantic Counties, NJ currently has an opportunity for a Pediatric Sales Specialist.

This position is responsible for the promotion, management and growth of Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospitals and office settings.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Desire to be self- motivated, seeking out success at achieving both short and long term goals.
• New product launches.
• Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each hospital and office service area for Similac and PediaSure.
• Effective administrative skills.
• An understanding of the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units. The ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.
• Ability to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
• Hospital negotiations and contracting.
• Budget management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required.
• The ideal candidate will be technically knowledgeable with a minimum of two years sales experience.
• Individuals with healthcare sales experience, as well as healthcare professionals (Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses) with experience in pediatrics.

TERRITORY

• Typical travel of 1-2 hours in territory depending on where you live.
• The ideal candidate will live in/around Mercer, Ocean, or Atlantic County in New Jersey.
• Local candidates only please – No Relocation support for this opportunity.
• 5% Travel for District/Regional meetings and trainings
