• The focus is on the Backend Process of payments not the customer checks out experience.
• There will also be some compliance projects. Some of the banks have requirements for processing certain types of payments.
• Doing things such as implementations of all online payments to be accepted in store. (PayPal, Afterpay, Gift Cards, Credit cards, etc.)
• This person will be leading projects for the Payments team.
• Looking for someone with experience in ecommerce and retail Strong Project Management and agile experience
• They will also work with fraud systems.

Position Summary:

• The specific area of focus is around implementing new payment types for the US and our International markets as well as mandatory compliance project.
• The Project Manager will also identify risks and escalate; accordingly, communicate with key stakeholders within the Organization about critical decisions and ensure timely completion of those decisions.
• This role will develop and maintain consolidated project work plans; facilitate key program meetings; track key issues, and track and manage project budget and non-labor costs.
• This includes collaborating with the technical team as well as Project Managers within the Ecommerce, Associate facing IT Organizations, and external vendors.
• This role will work primarily with agile methodology, but knowledge of waterfall is also required.
• The job requires excellent technical, problem solving, and communication skills, as well as a motivational capability and knowledge of standards with ecommerce platforms, various payment types, payment architecture, Infrastructures and associated payment vendors and banking systems.
• Primary responsibility is to serve as the Project Manager supporting related tasks for the Payments team on various projects.

• This Sr. Project Manager role has day-to-day responsibility for managing multiple Digital Payments projects of various complexities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams by overseeing the progress of projects regarding time, scope, quality, and budget.
• The Project Manager should be able to learn fast and build up knowledge areas.
• Develop and manage detailed project work plans for assigned projects. May also require building and maintaining higher level program plans that roll up other technical teams detailed project plans.
• Apply Agile project management techniques, methods, and tools to ensure project success.
• When required, develop Project option summaries, decision documents and recommendations and present them to key decision makers.
• This includes building effective partnerships with stakeholders: including the development staff, business owners and senior management, and other project managers.
• Effectively collaborate in a highly matrixed organization and gain the trust of others.
• Proactively and aggressively manage project risk and issues, defining mitigation efforts.
• Build effective partnerships with the developers, architects, quality, and product managers.
• Leverage innovative critical thinking approaches to solve problems.
• Expected to manage projects that span multiple groups and time zones, including offshore resources.
• Escalate project related risks and issues to appropriate levels of management.
• Make recommendations to IT and business management regarding prioritization and resource allocation with input from team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or related discipline.
• Experience implementing payment systems on an eCommerce platform, e.g.: PayPal, Afterpay, Credit Cards, Gift Cards
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
• Agile/Scrum Master certification preferred. PMP certification preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• 5- 7+ years Project or Program management experience
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
• Experience in developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraints.
• Strong financial accounting skills with respect to project budgeting. Experience with Clarity is a plus.
• Established ability to effectively collaborate in a highly matrixed organization and gain the trust of others.
• Verified ability to balance multiple priorities and excel in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated passion for project management and proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large scale projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to communicate at all organizational levels.
