Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Develop, implement, and drive strategies for Front End Operations to include analyzing customer feedback, ensuring standardized processes and procedures for front end, front end system maintenance and enhancement, and system accesses. Partners with appropriate business partners and process improvement areas to assess new processes, systems, and technology to improve flow and customer interaction as well as analyze and resolve any systematic issues. Partner with retail teams to develop action plans and ensure consistent execution of SOPs to provide an omni experience to our customers. Provides operational support daily to stores.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for leading and delivering assigned projects to include defining project scope, identifying project team members, building project plans, delivering on schedule, stakeholder communication, and managing through risks and issues. Oversee and support multiple projects at the same time. Projects may include process improvement, technology development, marketing communications, store execution, etc. 30%
  • Manage the processes, design and procedures regarding retail point of sales, cash office, in store pick up and customer service execution to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability. Creates, implements and monitors the process to provide benefit to the customer and develop efficiencies within each operational function. Ensures execution and consistency of front end procedures by developing operational standards, training initiatives, SOP's and communication requirements. 25%
  • Work with Procurement team to manage retail vendor relationships; ensure the best providers are in place through assessments, bidding, and through strong relationships. 5%
  • Maintains front end systems to include POS, kiosk, RPI, OSI, and BCE Cash Recycler. Works with IT to ensure systems support business requirements, and manages any improvements and deployments. Acts as project champion on any selections of new technology and implementation of systems impacting retail front end operations. Maintains proper training materials and procedures for front end systems.20%
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
  • Enhance front end customer experience and close service gaps through implementation of new concepts, process and technology to contribute to retail profitability. Partner with appropriate business partners and process improvement areas to assess new processes, systems and technology to improve flow and customer interaction as well as analyze and resolve any systematic issues. Research reoccurring issues and determine if operational changes are required to improve efficiencies within front end. Determine immediate needs and future enhancements. 20%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Years of experience: 5+ years of experience in Project Management and/or Retail Management required
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business, or equivalent experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from company leadership, Managers, and associates.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to large and small groups.
  • Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, and data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems. Capability to learn and apply new systems that directly relate to the role or projects being led.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, associates, customers and with the Corporate Staff.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10% or as needed for project rollouts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly performs computer work and sits.
  • Occasionally walks and stands.
  • Seldom/never lifts up to 50lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

  • Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
