Job Position PSR (Medical Receptionist) - $500 Sign-on Bonus

Job Type Full-Time (Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week; 1130AM-8PM with Saturday rotation.)

Job Location 1250 Waters Place Tower 1, Suite 501, Bronx, NY (Pelham Bay; outpatient clinic inside a large medical office building. Parking on-site.)

• EPIC software knowledge a plus
• High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and exp.
• Answers telephone determines the purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards them to appropriate personnel.
• Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
• EMR scheduling software knowledge a plus
• Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler EMR. Conducts reminder calls to all patients
• Confirms patients' insurance eligibility with insurance companies. Completes insurance claim forms and submits claims to insurance companies.
• Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with addresses, directions, and other information.
• Completes insurance claim forms and submits claims to insurance companies.
• Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in the computer system
