Events by RHC is looking to hire a Pastry Assistant.

Pastry Chef Responsibilities:

• Assist the Pastry Team with the production, planning, and execution of desserts for catered events.
• Maintaining a good running order of specialized pastry baking equipment
• Adding novel, creative, and delicious pastry items to the existing selection
• Creating enticing confectionery decorations and pastry fillings, as well as keeping abreast of new pastry baking techniques
• Monitor & Control stock levels of baking ingredients i.e. (flour, sugar, etc.. ) to ensure proper ordering of pastry items.
• Solid fundamental knowledge of scaling ingredients with proper measurements and mixing.

Pastry Chef Requirements:

• Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when required
• Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating cakes and other desserts
• Keen attention to detail
• 2 years or more, of experience as a pastry assistant, pastry cook, baker, or similar
• Be a role model and lead by example in terms of professionalism, positive attitude, taking initiative, work ethic, work performance, etc.
• Associate degree in baking and pastry arts, or similar preferred
• Knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
