Corporate Pastry Chef Jobs

Major Food Group, the team that brought you Carbone, is hiring an experienced Corporate Pastry Chef to join our growing team!

MFG is hiring experienced Pastry Chef with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times
• Prepare, clean and organize ingredients for use in the kitchen
• Oversee a team of junior pastry cooks and other staff members as necessary
• Controlling food and labor costs; controlling par levels of mise en place
• Maintain up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing creative pastries and desserts for different outlets
• Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
• Culinary diploma with a concentration in Pastry Arts or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
• A solid understanding of all aspects of a Pastry Department operation
• Team-orientated and positive attitude
• Strong communication skills a must

Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 annually based on experience
