Job Description
Full-time, 12-month internship with stipend is offered for recent college graduates interested in pursuing a career in art, art history and/or art curation. The focused departmental training is integrated with monthly activities and a lecture series designed for interns to receive greater exposure to the museum as a whole. The program is complemented with financial provisions for interns to create a research trip related to their fields of interest.

The Drawings & Prints Intern will be a part of a larger cohort of interns from various MoMA departments. Twelve-month internships provide training in specific museum fields through close work with professional staff members, familiarity with modern and contemporary art through seminars and discussions, and an educational program that exposes interns to the workings of the Museum as a whole, while considering the role of museums in the broader cultural context.

Duties within the department may include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to departmental initiatives
  • Assisting in preparation of gallery presentations and publications
  • Provide research, organizational, and/or administrative support to curators of forthcoming Käithe Kollwitz exhibition
  • Performing research
  • Responding to general curatorial inquiries
  • Work on early modern artists’ books project

Stipend
