Summary/Objective
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Ops Tech Support Professional is responsible for general Ready Pay and Ready Pay Online troubleshooting and supporting the company with these systems. The Ops Tech Professional also reviews defects reported by the Operations Team to verify legitimacy. Additionally, the Ops Tech Professional troubleshoots, performs bulk updates to the database via SQL statements, edits or creates VB scripts, and troubleshoots reports using Crystal Reports.

The employee in this position will frequently communicate with employees and clients, and must be able to do so clearly, effectively, and professionally.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, and the employee is required to work an approved schedule that falls within the Company business hours of 8am-6pm.

- Maintains VB scripts.
- Builds and troubleshoots Visual Basic scripts.
- Uses VB scripting to allow RP to do things it was not necessarily designed to do.
- Analyzes and resolves software/database issues using SQL queries.
- Troubleshoots issue and address requests such as bulk updates to the database via SQL statements, editing or creating VB scripts, and troubleshooting reports.
- Uses SQL for data mining, problem solving and manipulation when necessary.
- Ensures the daily technical support of internal and external clients.
- Builds and executes SQL queries to correct database issues.
- Monitors processing machines.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Teaches departments to be more proficient with RP and RPO.
- Troubleshoots payroll system job queue errors.
- Builds and updates payroll verification rules as necessary.
- Proactively identifies software bugs or enhancements and develops solutions.
- Stays up-to-date on payroll regulations as to ensure compliance as well as for certification upkeep when relevant.
- Performs global updates, inserts, deletes using SQL queries.
- Troubleshoots issues relating to Crystal Reports and/or built in Report Writer.
- Performs daily and weekly SQL audits to check system integrity as well as security.
- Analyzes and tests interfaces/integrations between Proliant’s payroll system and 3rd party software.
- Prepares files from 3rd parties for data migration into payroll system.
- Creates and tests client logins to access payroll system.

Required Education And Experience
- Experience with SQL required.
- Excellent communication skills, and comfortable communicating in serious scenarios.
- Highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and accountable.
- Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries using SQL Server Studio Management Studio.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or similar field.
- Ability to manage and complete multiple projects and activities with strict time sensitive deadlines.
- High understanding of and ability to develop proficiency in Company software and all other applicable software programs.
- Previous payroll service bureau experience a plus.
