About The Role
As an Operations Planner, you'll have the opportunity to leverage your problem-solving skills, motivation, and experience to drive operational excellence. You'll be responsible for production mix and quantity planning, ensuring sales and inventory goals are met while optimizing production capacity. Your ability to think through complex problems, analyze alternatives, and make effective decisions will be key in this role. Additionally, you'll have the chance to contribute to process improvement initiatives by developing tools and metrics to support operations planning.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a weekly production plan and ensure alignment across departments
Make necessary revisions to production plans when schedules cannot be met, while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction
Manage finished goods inventory for compounded products, adhering to company guidelines and maintaining delivery metrics
Generate buying recommendations for raw materials based on projected production needs
Implement key metrics, such as forecast accuracy and production plan adherence, to drive accountability
Identify and document risks associated with production capacity, issues, and material shortages
Demonstrate proficiency in inventory management concepts, with an understanding of the financial and operational implications of planning decisions
Requirements
3+ years of experience in Production Planning or Supply Planning
Proficiency in Excel, including experience with data manipulation (Lookups, PivotTables, External Data Connections)
Basic knowledge of SQL and/or Python is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to analyze complex problems and balance multiple priorities effectively
Demonstrated ability to organize resources and make informed decisions
