The Operations Manager will oversee all operations for solar and storage installations for Oregon and SW Washington. The installation team, Sales, Project Management, and Project Administration will report to this position. The Operations Manager will report directly to the Executive Management team and the Owner of Power Northwest. In this role you will be directly responsible for safe operations of each site which includes site management, technical services, field execution, developing and maintaining a highly engaged workforce, budgeting, and customer relations. This position will also oversee sales management, project management, and administration. The ideal candidate would have prior experience in the solar industry as well as prior management experience.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Interface with community leaders, regulatory agencies, equipment manufacturers, and local Government and community representatives
- Balance time as necessary between office and field responsibilities.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations
- Research, investigate, and provide remedies for solar project errors
- Ensure inventory control, purchasing, receiving, and accurate short-term and long-term budget forecasting.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

- Evaluate internal processes and provide recommendations for procedural efficiencies
- Manage the Sales and Operations Department to ensure a proper hand-off process from time of sales through operations to provide an amazing customer experience.
- Provide direction and leadership to the organization with a positive attitude and calm demeanor
- Provide mentoring and coaching to staff and assist in creating a culture of collaboration and learning
- Keep up to date with the latest solar technology, policies, and incentives
- Manage technical feedback to installation crews
- Oversee personnel development and continuous growth planning
Desired Qualifications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence clients and staff from diverse backgrounds
- 5+ years of experience in business management, engineering and/or the solar energy construction and operations fields
- Ability to create relationships with community leaders, regulatory agencies, equipment manufacturers, and local Government and community representatives
- Solid technical background in project management and construction
- Should be familiar with, or have experience in, PV design, including string sizing, wire sizing, inverter sizing, AC/DC ratio, and OCPD sizing
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Familiarity with NEC 2020, especially article 690 as well as ETO requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration desired)
- Organizational and time management skills

- Presentation skills

- Bachelor's Degree
- Supervisor/Management Experience: 5+ years
Compensation
- Annual bonuses tied to business objectives and targets
- Base (DOE) plus Bonuses (Depending on Performance) total compensation $90,000 to $120,000
