My client is seeking a National Sales Manager to supply products to the North American Dairy / Livestock industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the National Sales Manager you will be responsible for:
- Become primary contact between your customers and my client including deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, etc.
- Implementing marketing and sales plans; establishing and meeting sales goals, and networking with industry representatives to expand sales opportunities.
- Maintaining and developing profitable customer relationships.
- Building product and market knowledge to add understanding and credibility.
- Assisting local distributors and nutritionists with successful on-farm implementation of products.
- Managing existing and attracting new customers within the sales territory.
- Development of annual business plan together with leadership that optimizes growth and profitability for the territory.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST be willing to travel - Primarily Western US focus with a few North American trips and the odd Global Trip.
- IDEALLY will have contacts / experience in Dairy / Livestock industry.
- MUST have good interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with field personnel, peers, and customers.
- MUST be detail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- MUST have had exposure and knowledge of the Californian/Western animal feed business.
- IDEALLY will have connections in Central Valley.
- MUST live in California.
- MUST be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- MUST be able to travel regularly to Head Office in California.
- MUST demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills to small and large groups with an ability to lead and influence.
- IDEALLY will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture or Livestock Business-related field.
