About Emerge California
Emerge California is on a mission to change the face of California politics by recruiting and training women-identifying Democrats to run for elected office.

Currently 210 Emerge CA alums hold elected office, including our state’s Lieutenant Governor, State Controller, 8 California Legislators, and 9 Mayors. Our signature program is an intensive, six-month group training program that provides in-depth training on all aspects of becoming a candidate and running for office. We have also offered intensive weekend Boot Camps, Continuing Education Webinars, Mentoring and Networking Events for our community of alums and supporters, which we call the Emerge Sisterhood.
We have a strong commitment to diversity and intentionally focus on recruiting from the New American Majority (“NAM”) – women of color, LGBTQ+ and unmarried women under 40. Our most recent Class of 2023 graduates were 90% NAM. Learn more at https://ca.emergeamerica.org/ .
