This position is for the Multi-function, Support Operations, Sr. Manager reporting directly to the Site Director/General Manager. Areas of support include (but not limited to): Environmental Safety & Health, Production Control, Scheduling/Planning, Training, Facilities and Plant Engineering, as well as Shipping, Warehousing, and all Site Logistics across our 5 building locations.
This leader will integrate, lead, and develop a team of professionals and staff, both salaried and represented, supporting LM Johnstown site Operations.
Will provide strategic direction that aligns the teams to achieve site goals including requirement forecasting, constraint management, shortage control, and behind schedule mitigation.
Provides leadership and participates in continuous improvement activities (lean events, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, etc.) and incorporates solution sets to improve processes and systems. Drives implementation for affordability and producibility initiatives. Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills. Must be a problem solver with excellent critical thinking skills. Will guide implementation of best practices across the enterprise and participate in talent development.
In this role, you will:
  • Work both independently and with team members to resolve issues
  • Identify program risks, issues, and opportunities related to procurement support
  • Manage internal relationships with Production Operations, Program Management, functional leadership and technical leads, and procurement
  • Work with cross functional teams to remove roadblocks inhibiting procurements success
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of leadership and team members
  • Liaison between procurement and production teams and program / functions
  • Compile and analyze data in support of program execution

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience in Root Cause/Corrective Action
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
  • Project management experience
  • Manufacturing or Production operations experience
  • Supply chain management experience
Desired Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Access)
  • Proficient in articulating the business need and ensure actions are closed
  • Experience reviewing Quality Assurance Reports
  • Basic knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience in Supply Chain Operations (Planning, Procurement)
  • Experience reviewing drawings/blueprints
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
  • Knowledge and Experience with Engineering Changes, Configuration Management

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
