• North Central Surgical Center has an exciting opportunity available for the right person as Medical Staff Coordinator in our Centralized Medical Staff Services Department located at North Central Surgical Center Hospital in Dallas, Texas. We currently provide credentialing and medical staff services to several local Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Hospitals, and our department is growing.

This position requires a highly motivated and detail oriented professional. We are committed to providing high quality service to our patients, our staff and our medical staff. This is a position of high responsibility that requires great attention to accuracy. The Medical Staff Coordinator processes and analyzes the applications and appointment/reappointment of medical staff and allied health professionals. They ensure credentials meet regulatory agency requirements and adhere to Medical Staff Bylaws/Facility policy. They enter practitioner data quickly and accurately.

Required Skills:

• Very strong clerical and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and governmental regulatory requirements.
• Experience working directly with physicians and their offices on appointment/reappointment process.
• Experience in use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc
• Experience in the use of credentialing software strongly preferred.
• Experience with drafting revisions to Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and Policies strongly preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) Certification required or obtained within 18 months of start date.
• Experience with the Regulatory survey process strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated speed and accuracy of data entry.
• Recent credentialing/medical services or closely related experience.
• Experience with creation of Emergency Department Call Schedule
