Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities, answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage faxing system for a very busy medical office. Ability to triage and transfer incoming calls to appropriate individuals. Able to multi task and possess strong initiative to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Call patients to remind them of their next-day appointment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Call patients from the Post Discharge list and schedule patients.
  • Collect and enter patient information into office EMR system.
  • Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
  • Scanning, filing, photocopying, and collating.
  • Answer telephone and obtain necessary information from caller.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A. Education

  • High School graduate or GED required.

B. Qualifications/Experience

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

C. Special Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to maintain a professional and patient care oriented attitude. Must be able to multitask. Ability to read and speak Spanish.
