Job Description
Topanga Terrace, a hospital and healthcare provider, is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to join our team. The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for maintaining and updating patients' medical records and ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.


Responsibilities


  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure accuracy of medical records
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records systems
  • Perform quality control checks on medical records to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Respond to requests for patient medical records from healthcare providers and patients' families
  • Ensure medical records are stored in a secure and confidential manner
  • Review and validate medical records for completeness and accuracy
  • Collect, process, and file medical records for patients


Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in medical records management
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Understanding of medical terminology and coding
