About the Opportunity

The Row is an established and growing luxury wholesale company with a proven track record, top-notch management, and excellent career opportunities! Due to an internal promotion, The Row currently seeks a Manager of FP&A. The Manager of FP&A will manage one current Analyst, and be generally responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. The Manager of FP&A will report to a senior level Director, and work closely with the CFO and Controller.

This opportunity is VIRTUAL / REMOTE. While candidates can be located anywhere in the United States, there is a strong preference for candidates currently living/working East Coast hours.

Overview of Key Duties:

Financial Forecasting

• Hold full ownership of the financial model, particularly the monthly income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
• Incorporate any strategic planning exercises
• Assist treasury functions by supporting cash flow forecasts
• Work closely with senior management to update and iterate on medium-term plans
• Partner with relevant department heads and functional personnel to update capital expenditure forecasts by comparing and analyzing budgets with actuals, and incorporating current plans
• Lead role in in updating sales forecasts and planning across channels
• Daily upkeep and updating of The Row’s global financial model, ensuring that the file is consistent in a “ready to send” state; refine the structure of the model on an as-needed basis (e.g. for new categories or retail opportunities) and update for additional exhibits
• Work closely across business units to monitor expense forecasts and work with management on planned and unplanned spending

Budgeting

• Development and maintenance of budgets (including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and capital expenditures) for each operating entity in local currency and on a consolidated basis
• Manage The Row’s annual budgeting process through coordinating with senior management and finance
• Incorporate current-year trends and planned activity to budget all items of the balance sheet and cash flow statement
• Development and maintenance of preliminary budgets incorporating actual information and updated versions of medium-term plans
• Work closely with relevant department heads and functional personnel to develop and finalize capital expenditure budgets

Reporting

• Hold meetings with relevant department heads and functional personnel to review and discuss actual and anticipated performance
• Ad hoc reporting for senior management
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial / operational KPI analysis and reporting for management across multiple departments
• Maintenance and refreshing of Wholesale + Retail Tracker for omnichannel and merchandising teams
• Maintenance and refreshing of Wholesale Tracker for wholesale and merchandising teams
• Distribute rolling actual vs budget updates to management after the finalization of each monthly consolidation
• Update and distribute actual spending vs budget reports on a bi-weekly or as-needed basis

Qualifications:

• Expert in Microsoft Excel – able to build/use complex financial models, manipulate data from disparate sources, advance Excel function skills
• Experience in Wholesale, Luxury, Retail, eCommerce or related field is highly desirable
• Bachelors Degree with concentration in Business, Finance or Economics; MBA is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with other retail/eCommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Quickbooks)
• 8-12+ years of relevant financial experience
