Job Description
Riot’s People team exists to help Rioters make better decisions around its talent. We bring our expertise to all of those typical HR activities such as hiring, on-boarding, training and development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, benefits, perks, compensation, big events, labor relations, off-boarding so that all Rioters can flourish.


The Manager of Learning and Development, reporting into the Senior Manager, Cultural Development, will lead Riot’s Cultural Learning Programs. This person will be responsible for enabling world-class learnings aimed at instilling and advancing Riot’s culture in partnership with HRBP’s, Organizational Development Partners, and Senior Leaders at Riot. This role will be an essential learning leader who can accelerate the performance of our teams and connect Rioters to Riot through dynamic and ongoing learning programs.


Responsibilities


  • Ensure buy-in, alignment, and sponsorship of Cultural Learning strategies, curricula, and roadmaps.
  • Partner with instructional designers in L&D, senior leaders, organizational development partners, and HRBP’s on learning program needs analysis, design, delivery, measuring and reporting, taking a data-informed approach to needs identification, evaluation, and decision making, while aligning with broader L&D objectives and programs.
  • Continually evolve the strategy and roadmap for Cultural Learning, in close partnership with the Senior Manager, Cultural Development.
  • Forecast and plan resourcing to ensure Cultural Learning needs across Riot are met.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of Cultural Learning programs; these programs may include live cohort based learning, adhoc workshops, e-learning, long format, and blended learning curricula.
  • Actively support the career development and performance management of direct reports from the Cultural Learning team.
  • Act as a key member of the Learning and Development leadership team to continually support setting strategy and implementing learning across Riot.
  • Manage a team that consists of internal partners, Rioters, and/or external partners, to ensure ongoing delivery of Cultural Learning programming.


Required Qualifications


  • 2+ years experience working within a management capacity
  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering engaging and effective learning experiences
  • Understanding of and empathy for the experience of players
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team of learning professionals
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience working within a Learning & Development role


Desired Qualifications


  • Experience working in Learning and Development with a focus on culture and values
  • Knowledge and understanding of Riot’s portfolio of products
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (Workday) and e-learning tools
  • Experience in a similar role at a fast-growing tech company or other similar company
