Manager, Global Account Management
Location: San Mateo, CA / Hybrid
We are looking for a Manager, Global Account Director to define and set strategic objectives, delivering the Partner’s commercial KPIs, and own the Account Management team’s prioritization to provide the highest level of service for your strategic partner account set. This individual will be a credible professional, capable of representing Sony at a senior level within this dynamic market segment. They need to be comfortable leading from the front, creating a supportive/collaborative environment grounded in delivering success for the partner and team.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the owner for all facets of the account segment within PlayStation, ensuring smooth operation and hand-off of operational needs. Ensures Partner needs are being met by internal teams and provide leadership and guidance as needed.
  • Build consensus and support with other Managers when establishing best practice methodology.
  • Work with Head of account segment and Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) Executive Leadership to understand market dynamics, shifting consumer demands, and adjust strategic priorities and plans to meet future market needs.
  • Lead yearly budgeting and quarterly forecasting for the account set, helping to set expectations internally of the market, release slate, and overall status of the business.
  • Develop, lead and execute external/internal business reviews, monthly/weekly team meetings, Business Performance Reviews, with a priority of sharing learnings across partners and peers account teams globally. (JBRs, JBPs, Content Lifecycle Plans, Performance Reviews, Post-Mortems, and overall governance).
  • Lead a highly skilled global team (5+) of Global Account Managers across San Mateo, London and Tokyo. The Global Account Director will provide excellent direct management / mentorship of the team, driving a culture of ownership and engagement, and guarantee they have the support to be successful in fully addressing the market needs.
  • Maintain executive level relationships and foster deep connections with the account
  • Responsible for Partners overall Partner Health, a key indicator of performance as the senior liaison.
  • Develop & maintain extensive knowledge of all aspects of the Partner’s business, portfolio, and long-term strategic vision.
  • Embrace SIE operating models, support plans and drive overall cadence of the business to deliver Strategic Account KPIs annually.
  • Generate, own and implement long term strategic plan for PlayStation’s business within the market and develop the business case for any incremental support in conjunction with Partner Commerce Team.
Qualifications:
  • Team management experience and mentorship of 5+ team members. (A bonus if teams are global multi-cultural).
  • Business Planning and Revenue Management expertise, with the ability to create and complete account plans and business cases.
  • 6+ Years of experience in Sales, Account Management, Publisher Relations and other relevant service-oriented roles that manager revenue, especially with large AAA enterprise partners.
  • Advanced Degree in Business, Marketing, or commensurate proven experience.
  • Passion for providing a stellar partner support, experience and producing high quality work.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate ambiguous.
  • Experience working in Media, Entertainment, High-tech or other associated verticals a plus.
At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$140,800 — $211,200 USD
