Job Description
Lovevery is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer startup co-founded by successful serial entrepreneurs and based in Boise, Idaho. Lovevery is looking for a collaborative, results-driven leader to grow and manage the company’s in-house expert team which includes Early Childhood/Child Development experts in the feeding, sleep, social-emotional, physical therapy, speech, and occupational therapy areas (and more). The Manager, Expert Relations, will take the lead on devising and implementing Lovevery’s expert strategies that vet, recruit and retain leaders in child development, educational, and parenting spaces. Lovevery has a number of exciting new ways to work with and amplify expert voices. The Manager must be able to establish strong relationships both internally and externally with potential talent and craft mutually beneficial agreements so the expert and Lovevery see exciting upside. In this role, the Manager of Expert Relations will partner with the Manager of Community Partnerships to thoughtfully craft strategies that support the Ambassador program and Lovevery’s in-house expert team.


This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Social Media & Experts. The following attributes in a candidate are essential to success in this role:


Experienced deal maker - The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of how to structure and negotiate deals that are beneficial for the talent and Lovevery. Qualified candidates have experience working with legal and business development in crafting contracts.


Strong communicator – Great candidates for this role are experienced in outward-facing positions as Lovevery is looking for a leader who can identify talent, establish a good relationship, and transition networking conversations to formal business relationships.

Accountabilities:


  • Finalize expert contract details with prospective partners through collaboration with Legal and Finance teams.
  • Manage and help develop the overall child development expert strategy and related business results (revenue, brand awareness, quality of content), owning core activities.
  • Identify and coordinate the development of new resources and capabilities across internal teams to achieve expert goals.
  • Partner with channel leads on key company initiatives and recommend expert-driven strategies to support app services, digitally produced courses and resources, as well as social media content for both paid and organic channels.
  • Report out on a regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence to all key stakeholders, with a strong analytical approach and crisp communication style.
  • Build a pipeline of potential talent, working with internal stakeholders to align on goals and priorities, then initiate contact and negotiations with potential experts for the app, social, and digital product content and initiatives. Must be over-communicative every step of the way.
  • Analyze, review and formulate a child development expert framework. Evaluate new partners and own business requirements to succeed.
  • Help Manager, Community Partnerships build and maintain a database of expert relationships leveraged as a central source for all Lovevery employees who need insight into the status of talent conversations at any given point.
  • Identify and communicate new market requirements by translating customer needs and the competitive landscape.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to build repeatable workflows and contracts around all things child development experts.
  • Develop business and strategic cases for talent investments and drive decisions collaboratively with the Senior Director, Social Media and Experts, as well as the VP, Brand Marketing, and Senior Manager, Community Partnerships.

  • Results-oriented with strong execution, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Professional and personal knowledge of the early childhood space, as well as an extensive understanding of industry trends and the key players in the competitive landscape.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an outstanding academic track record; preference for candidates who attended rigorous academic programs.
  • 5+ years of talent management, legal/contract, or strategic partnership experience in a media, educational, or related company.

Salary Range Information


Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $72,572 to $142,391. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
