Position Summary


Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Manager, Digital Product Management to join the Sony Rewards group. This position reports directly to the Director of Digital Marketing & Product Management. The Manager, Digital Product Management will be responsible for leading a structured process to prioritize new projects and enhancements across the department. In addition, they will be the primary business lead who will work with key stakeholders to gather requirements, test, and launch projects as well as enhancements across the Sony Rewards digital experiences (Sonyrewards.com and Sony Rewards mobile app). They will act as the voice of the customer and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the product meets the needs of our Sony Rewards Members. This person should have a combination of UX/UI, business, and technical skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills, to be effective in this role. We seek an individual who is passionate, detailed and results-orientated who is knowledgeable in the digital space (preferably mobile app and .com).


This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring 2 days on site in either our NYC or Paramus location,


Key Responsibilities


  • Liaison directly with senior management to communicate project objectives and status on a bi-weekly basis, including any project issues/blockers
  • Work with external agencies or internal designer on UX/UI requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of User Acceptance Testing (user stories, acceptance criteria, test execution, reporting bugs, etc.) with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with a cross functional team to identify, analyze, and document business requirements for projects and enhancements.
  • Lead an organized process to prioritize new projects and enhancements based on key factors (budget, resource bandwidth, department goals) in a way that allows leadership to make an informed decision.
  • Responsible for understanding the business needs and help to provide solutions that meet the requirements of the business and our consumers.
  • Work with internal and external development teams to help translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support to the development team during implementation for business related requirements.
  • Lead Backlog grooming and Sprint planning for digital enhancements


Qualifications


  • Prior experience working with external agencies and designers on UX/UI requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working directly with tech teams to translate business requirements
  • Ability to influence and be direct in both verbal and written communications
  • Detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple work streams at once
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience using JIRA
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience as a Digital Product Manager or Business Analyst
  • Knowledge of digital industry trends and best practices, as well as experience with relevant software tools and technologies.
  • Knowledgeable in both Agile and Waterfall framework
  • An eye for UX/UI design

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $120,000 - 135,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
