Brand Design Manager
Location: Springdale, AR
Summary
The Manager, Brand Design reports to the Senior Director, Brand Design. They collaborate with cross-functional team members across all businesses, both base and innovation, to effectively develop and deliver brand design strategy and package design. This person will manage our roster of specialized brand agency partners to ensure Strategy, Design, and Innovation projects are developed and delivered to the organization’s standard of quality, value, and time. They manage the total visual brand identity system and lead the project team from conceptualization and strategy to design development and finalization.
Core responsibilities
- Craft SOWs, manage budget requirements, and handle invoice management & submission
- Project leadership for all Brand Design work, including and not limited to Brand Strategy, Brand Design, Brand Packaging, Design finalization, brandmark development, visual identity systems, Strategic Brand Books, Brand Guidelines, Brandmark guidelines, Packaging guidelines, etc.
- Collaborate with agency partners, Tyson art production and engineers to ensure all design work adheres to packaging specifications
- Design brief development and co-creation
- Passionate brand design influencer
- Collaborate and co-create with cross-functional teams to develop compelling design strategy for each project
- Manage agency deliverables, timelines, and PMO integration for each Design project
- Leverage 3D physical and digital tools for design reviews
- Lead Brand Governance and Brand Asset management process
- Self-starter, thinker and doer. Disciplined and Resilient. Energized by challenges
- Lead agency-executed Photography and Art Direction
- Balance opposing ideas and bring ideas to life to ensure the final product matches the vision.
- Effective visual & verbal storyteller
- Partner with Consumer Insights on qualitative and quantitative design research Participate in print and color management review and approvals
Qualifications
- BA Degree in Business, Marketing, or Design
- Exceptional understanding of the entire Design and production process, from ideas and concepts to realization and commercialization
- Strong background and knowledge of visual identity, brand strategy, brand packaging design, brand innovation, structural design, and production and how these work together holistically to bring a brand experience to life
- CPG experience a plus
- 8+ years of experience as a proven strategic design leader and manager.
