Packaging Design Manager Jobs

You will have a minimum of 6 Years’ experience in manufacturing operations management with demonstrated business improvements.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager Operations - Packaging and works closely with brewery operational teams.

Mockups and Prototyping: Participate in the development of physical mockups and prototypes to visualize packaging concepts and make necessary refinements

Location: New York City, 3 days in office per week

Reports To: Senior Design Director, Packaging

Microbiological lab experience, especially management

Develop the QA/QC functions to a stronger foundation, stronger fundamentals, and superior on-going process management

Manage ingredient, nutritional, and claim labeling requirements in accordance with

Manage the Quality Assurance Department and supervise Quality Assurance Team to superior and consistent execution

Manage Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) assessments and reassessments

Manage HACCP records and file maintenance

Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills

Manage new tooling development and part qualification

Manage new packaging development projects from concept to launch

Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus

Experience using 3D CAD software is plus (Solidworks)

Experience with 3D printing and Rapid Prototyping

Strong project management, and resource planning skills.

Delegate projects across design team based on skill set, experience levels, and capacity.

Manage, mentor and support an in-house team of graphic designers.

Manage graphic design output and maintain performance metrics which continually improve design efficiency, reduced revisions and rework.

5-7 years of experience managing graphic design teams.

Experience in pre-press production and packaging design.

 Product engineering, safety and reliability experience.

 Proficiency in MS Office with proven excel spreadsheet skills.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

 Evaluate existing products for potential standardization of carton sizes and/or poly bags.

Deep understanding in the UL Pack Design strategy and the business needs on 2D Pack Design Management.

Coordinate Pack Design Agencies rating management in the region (WoW to access performance).

Partner with MBS Procurement on the roster management, and rating of the agencies. (in own region).

Bachelors Degree with 3+ years of demonstrated success in design project management (packaging design preferred)

Understand all the rostered agencies in the region, credentials, capabilities, and portfolio.

Support the AW Production managers in the region to deploy the U-Design Model.

• Strong project management and organizational skills are necessary

• 5+ years’ experience designing consumer goods packaging, 2+ years’ experience in managerial role

• Assign design tasks, provide art direction, and manage team‘s priorities

• Work with product managers to make sure tasks have correct information before assigning

• Able to communicate clear directions to designers, product managers and internal stake holders

• Highly collaborative, openly share knowledge and ideas and incorporate input from others

Craft SOWs, manage budget requirements, and handle invoice management & submission

Lead Brand Governance and Brand Asset management process

Partner with Consumer Insights on qualitative and quantitative design research Participate in print and color management review and approvals

8+ years of experience as a proven strategic design leader and manager.

Manage agency deliverables, timelines, and PMO integration for each Design project

Collaborate and co-create with cross-functional teams to develop compelling design strategy for each project

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of experts.

Bachelor's degree in packaging engineering, supply chain management, or related field.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of packaging experts, providing guidance and support as needed.

Effectively manage resources to achieve gross profit goals

Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Work closely with clients to identify packaging needs, provide recommendations, and deliver solutions that meet their requirements.

Experience managing suppliers in a Supplier Performance or Relationship Management program (SPM/SRM) which has improved supplier’s performance and impact.

Strong strategic sourcing and contract management skills at regional level.

Drive and ensure compliance related to Procurement and Contract Management.

Act as key contributor to Risk Management process for KIND NA; lead key projects and interface with BU and Central Procurement

A track record of executing innovation, risk mitigation, and relationship management.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams, especially with R&D, Technical, Material Planning, Project Management, and manufacturing sites.

· Effective speaking, presentation, and written communication skills.

· Impeccable grammar and spelling skills.

· Coordinates & oversees development of new products for LCC for eCommerce, Wholesale, and Retail.

· Implements marketing plans for changes in graphics for seasonal, year-round, and new items.

· Coordinates graphic update process internally and serves as liaison with graphic designers. Secures estimates for work prior to project initiation.

· Reviews rep and first run samples and approves/changes, as needed.
