THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Agile Delivery Manager, you will oversee the department initiative planning and delivery of Chipotle Technology using Agile methodologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery while facilitating communication and collaboration. The Agile Delivery Manager will significantly impact Chipotle by improving Agile efficiency and employee and customer satisfaction by ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Responsible for creating and maintaining the tech department roadmap. This is accomplished by aligning the department's initiatives with Chipotle’s Strategic Initiatives.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring to promote team and individual growth and development.
• Facilitating communication and collaboration. The Agile Delivery Manager is a facilitator to ensure that dependent teams communicate and collaborate effectively. They will assist in identifying risks and work to resolve the issues that arise. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting effective communication, transparency, and accountability.
• Initiative Planning and Execution: High-Level Initiative Planning, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the delivery team. Use Agile tools and methodologies to manage workloads, communicate priority, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Managing the Agile Delivery process across multiple teams and departments by working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and with the highest quality.
• Managing risk and issues. The Agile Delivery Manager is responsible for identifying and managing risks and issues that may arise in the delivery process. They work with Stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies and ensure the initiatives stay on track.
• Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare and present initiative progress reports, metrics, and key performance indicators to stakeholders and senior management. Communicate initiative updates, risks, and issues clearly and concisely.
• Agile flow metrics throughout the Chipotle Development Lifecycle
• Stakeholder Management: Partner with business stakeholders, product management, and other cross-functional teams to align initiative objectives and priorities. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
• Relentless Improvement: Drive the adoption of Agile best practices, tools, and techniques within the organization. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance team productivity, efficiency, and quality. Encourage a culture of learning, collaboration, empowerment, and innovation.
• Agile Project Management: Lead and manage multiple software development initiatives concurrently, utilizing Agile principles and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban. Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions, meeting the needs of various stakeholders.
• Strong candidates are motivated by what they can achieve, the growth they can experience and how they will impact the company.
• Managing and enforcing Agile tool usage for KPIs outputs and driving the “right” improvements

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Agile Certified Practitioner) are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
• Strong understanding of software development practices and agile management principles.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
• Proven experience (5 years) as an Agile Delivery Manager or similar role, preferably in the software development or technology industry.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $124,000 to $172,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
