Maintenance Director Jobs

• Oversees the management of the storeroom, spare parts inventory, and capital spares program.
• Sets targets, defines the organization needs and drives implementation, oversees costs.
• In partnership with functional counterparts, governs safety, environmental, quality and cost objectives while driving continuous maintenance operations improvement.
• Accountable for driving team to achieve asset utilization targets as agreed in the annual budget to assure that production targets are met with the focus on reducing and minimizing process downtime.
• Drives adoption and compliance to all processes, meetings and procedures associated with the area's Management Operating System to ensure timely decision making and clear action items.
• Responsible for managing a department budget of $34MM and a storeroom inventory of $9MM.
• Collaborates with Production to ensure scheduling & downtime is agreed and production teams are aligned with overall reliability strategy.
• Establishes goals and long-term strategy to support plant priorities. Monitors progress and evaluates performance to ensure effective resource allocation and asset utilization.
• Partners with EHS&S / production to ensure awareness, communication, and implementation of continuous improvement plans.
• Accountable for overall departmental compliance to all engineering codes and standards as well as local, state, and federal building and equipment codes and standards as applicable to oversight responsibilities.
• Drives execution of maintenance activities and processes in accordance with all EHS&S regulatory and Stepan policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safeguard people and assets.
• Collaborates with Corporate Reliability to develop and maintain site-wide preventive maintenance strategy and programs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in manufacturing / chemical industry.
• 5+ years effective people management experience.
• Heavy emphasis in strategic planning and asset reliability improvement program development.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
